World One is a supertall residential skyscraper under construction in Mumbai, India.[4] It is located in Upper Worli[5] within Mumbai on the 17.5 acre defunct Shrinivas Mill site.[6] The project will cost ₹20 billion (US$340 million) and is expected to be completed in 2015,[7] then becoming the world’s tallest residential tower.[8][9]
World One's architect is Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and the structural engineer is Leslie E. Robertson Associates.[10] Apartment prices in World One start from ₹75 million (US$1.3 million) with the most expensive being as much as ₹500 million (US$8.5 million),[6] while Lodha Group anticipates total revenue of ₹50 billion (US$850 million) from the sale of these apartments.[11]
As of April 2014, construction of World One Tower has reached 50th floor or approximately 220 meters.[12]
